Dance

Derived from Irish and Scottish styles of step dance, clogging is a historically American blend of these and Appalachian rhythms. More "down on your feet" than tap dancing, clogging utilizes what are known as jingle taps, that is, two-piece metal taps at the heel and toe of each shoe. With her group, Speed City Cloggers, Brianna Cassisi brings this age-old dance up-to-date with modern music, while still acknowledging its history and traditions.

A dancer of 30 years experience, Brianna is certified as a state level instructor and choreographer by the Florida Clogging Council. A former Disney dancer, Brianna has performed and instructed with several clogging clubs and with three nationally televised parades. Brianna welcomes enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels to join in the fun of a traditional, yet modern style of dance.

Clogging classes are held each Monday and Thursday evening from 7:15 to 8:45.

Oil Painting

John Dambrell offers both group classes and one on one instruction (by appointment) in oil painting, as well as workshops, showings, and numerous cultural opportunities. John specializes in seascapes, landscapes, and floral settings. His medium is oil on canvas, utilizing the "wet on wet" techniques he has learned and refined over many years of practice. John's love of teaching is apparent to his students, and his painting techniques are both deeply expressive and surprisingly easy to learn.

The Elite Academy is proud to offer workshops and private lessons in acting/drama. Classes (both private and group) focus on developing proper diction and voice projection, expanding each actor's monologue repertoire, making intelligent character choices, and increasing emotional access.
